Terms of Use

Last updated: 6 June 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Xibarri app and website. By creating an account or using Xibarri, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

Using Xibarri

Xibarri lets you report local problems, attach photos and a location, and have those reports routed to the public body responsible for your area. Neighbours can vote on and comment on reports. You must be at least 14 years old to use Xibarri.

Your account

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login secure. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Don't impersonate anyone or use another person's account without permission.

Reports and public authorities

Xibarri acts as an intermediary that forwards your reports to public bodies. We don't control whether or when an authority responds or fixes an issue, and we can't guarantee any outcome. Reports should describe genuine local issues, not emergencies — for emergencies, contact the emergency services directly.

Acceptable use

When using Xibarri, you agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading or duplicate reports.
  • Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, hateful or infringes someone's rights.
  • Share other people's personal data without a lawful reason.
  • Spam, manipulate votes, or interfere with the normal operation of the service.
  • Attempt to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorised to use.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content

Xibarri has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. This includes harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual or violent content, and any abuse directed at other users.

You can report any post, comment or user from the "..." menu on that content. You can also block any user from their profile ("..." → "Block user"): you will no longer see their posts or comments, and you can manage blocked people under Settings → "Blocked users".

We review reports and, typically within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these rules and suspend or terminate the offending accounts. Anyone who posts objectionable content may be barred from using the service.

Your content

You keep ownership of the reports, photos and comments you post. By posting, you grant Xibarri a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and share that content as part of the service and to forward it to the relevant public authorities. You confirm you have the right to share what you post.

Moderation

We may review, hide or remove content that breaks these terms or the law, and we may suspend or close accounts that do so. Where possible we'll explain why, but we may act immediately to protect users or comply with legal requirements.

Intellectual property

The Xibarri name, logo, app and website are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms don't give you any right to use our brand without permission.

Disclaimers

Xibarri is provided "as is". We don't promise the service will always be available, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. Information shown in the app, including rankings and the routing of reports, may not always be accurate or complete.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Xibarri is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, or for the acts or decisions of the public authorities your reports are sent to. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Ending your use

You can stop using Xibarri and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or where we are required to by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any dispute will be subject to the competent courts in Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When changes are significant, we'll notify you in the app or update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Xibarri after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
